Jeb Dunnuck: 93 Points

The 2021 Côte Rôtie La Landonne is a solid step up and has a medium-bodied fresh focused style as well as textbook La Landonne notes of smoky black fruits ground pepper and some meaty notes as well as a beautiful rose petal-like character in the background. It's balanced and has fine tannins and outstanding length. Give bottles just 2-3 years and enjoy over the following decade. I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see it evolve for longer but I also don't see a need to delay gratification.

Wine Spectator: 93 Points

Shows a stream of blue and black fruit layered with floral notes and a subtle kiss of vanilla. Fresh with a frame of iron giving shape to the creamy palate which reveals wafts of mesquite smoke and cool minerality. Medium-weight and long this is well-meshed through the finish with refined yet persistent tannins that have a firm hold. Best from 2025 through 2035. 275 cases made.

Vinous: 92 Points

The 2021 Côte-Rôtie La Landonne offers a red-fruited profile paired with pencil shavings meaty undertones and a marked herbaceous streak. Framed by firm tannins and balanced by refreshing acidity the 2021 hits the palate with juicy red fruits and great intensity. Still it can?t compete with the more generous and complex 2022. - By Nicolas Greinacher on October 2023
