A wonderful young Napa cab with ultra-fine tannins that go on for minutes. Lots of licorice mint and blackcurrant character. Medium to full body. Reserve and refined finish. Better in 2018.

It's a new day for this producer which is stepping slightly off the gas to make more nuanced balanced wines. This is no exception: a restrained offering of earthy mushroom soy cedar leather and juicy red fruit that disentangles itself from oak and tannin to stay fresh in the glass.
