The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses 1er Cru really puts the Bonnes-Mares in its place this year. The bouquet is harmonious and precise a mélange of red and black fruit with crushed stone and pressed rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins perfect acidity and an elegant understated finish. Superb. (Drink between 2023-2050)
Rich but refined Mugnier's 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses has turned out beautifully in bottle mingling scents of sweet red berries and plums with nuances of raw cocoa orange rind and spices. Full-bodied velvety and layered it's ample and gourmand with a fleshy core of fruit lively acids and refined tannins.
