Nathalie Gilles (and now daughter Julie) run this high-quality domaine in Fontenay. WIth 2.2ha of Vaulorent this is aged for a minimum of 12 months on fine lees with 20% matured in oak. Very good weight and concentration with bright flavours of stone fruit combined with zesty citrus acidity and the power expected from this top site. Very pure even though a tank sample this has the power to age beautifully for up to a decade. Great example of Vaulorent. (Drink between 2025 - 2032) - Andy Howard MW

Jasper Morris: 94 Points

5 Star Wine - Bottled end January. 20% in wood with some new the rest in tank. Pale lemon in colour with a much more classic nose. Excellent tension pure white fruit as always one of the loveliest expressions with a refined salinity and excellent length. Drink from 2029-2036. Tasted Jul 2024.

Vinous: 93 Points

The 2022 Chablis Vaulorent 1er Cru has a bright bouquet with dewy green apple pear and underlying wet limestone scents coming through with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity impressive tension and ample concentration that all lead to a very precise and complex finish. What an impressive and delicious wine one that will be fascinating to mature in bottle. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis. (Drink between 2025 - 2040)

Burghound: 93 Points

(Domaine Nathalie et Gilles Fèvre Chablis "Vaulorent" 1er Cru White) Moderate wood that includes a background hint of menthol surrounds ripe aromas of various white orchard fruit with floral top notes which exhibit good Chablis typicity. There is excellent mid-palate density to the more powerful if slightly less refined middle weight flavors that culminate in a lemon clean and moderately dry but not really austere finale. This lovely effort is going to need at least a few years of keeping first as it's fairly tightly wound at present. (Drink starting 2030)
