This is rich in the welcoming texture of a good white vintage and has retained a beautiful freshness to it as it has aged. The fruit character is still full of life pliable and juicy with nectarine and white pear flesh spliced over slate and my money is on this ageing for a good decade from this point.
The 2010 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc a blend of 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Sémillon has an effervescent bouquet with orange sorbet and white peach aromas. It is very well defined playful even. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity quite linear and taut at the beginning but it brims over with energy: brisk and spicy with a dab of lemongrass towards the persistent finish. It does not have the density of other vintages but it compensates through sheer energy. Tasted at the vertical tasting at Malartic-Lagravière. - By Neal Martin on February 2018
Tasted at the Union de Grand Cru in London. This estate has been producing excellent white wines of late and the 2010 has a lot to offer. It is bestowed with a fragrant lime and passion fruit tinged bouquet with hints of melted wax. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity well-integrated oak and a lovely spice tinged finish that lingers long on the mouth. Very fine. Tasted November 2012. Published: Mar 30 2013
