James Suckling: 98 Points
Extremely perfumed with violets black cherries and hints of bark. Savory and full-bodied with firm and fine tannins that frame the wine seriously. Notes of orange peel. Mostly clone 667 planted in the mid-1990s. Superb. Needs two or three years to open.

From a vineyard planted in the early 1990s the 2021 Pinot Noir Kanzler Vineyard is complex yet seamless and addicting to drink. Initial tones of flint and cinnamon give way to deeper scents of red and blue berries black plum and floral perfume. The medium-bodied palate is packed to the brim with layers of wild berry fruit. It?s structured by powdery tannins and mouthwatering acidity and has a very long spicy finish. Published: Oct 10 2024
