Mid lemon and lime. The bouquet is not overtly weighty. The hillside vineyards and those below complement each other. There is certainly excellent energy beneath here a fine thread to freshen the weight of white orchard fruit. Impeccable village Meursault.

Outstanding Top value

Note: this wine has changed its composition substantially as it now includes vineyards that were previously bottled separately in particular En la Barre Clos le Meix Tavaux and Tillets; the blend is now from Sous La Velle En la Barre Tillets Les Corbins Pré de Manche Les Chaumes de Narvaux and Clos le Meix Tavaux Producer note: Antoine Jobard noted that the 2022 "growing season was hot dry and largely clement and without undue disease pressure so compared to 2021 for example we had it relatively easy. We picked from the 25th to the 31st of August and brought in virtually spotless fruit that had good yields. Potential alcohols were strong without being high as everything came in between 13 and 13.5%. The acidities were at best average so I did no lees stirring as preserving the freshness and energy were clearly priorities for this style of vintage. As to the wines they're definitely rich but fresh and vibrant with surprisingly good terroir transparency. I would describe them as a mix of the 2017 and 2019 vintages with the verve of '17 but less alcohol than '19. It's the kind of vintage that should allow for early accessibility but have no trouble aging." In a change Jobard explained that he has chosen to begin using the Diam brand composite cork for all of his whites. As the ratings and commentaries confirm I was very impressed by the excellent results that Jobard achieved in 2022 and these are definitely wines to consider adding to your cellars. Lastly fans of the domaine aren't imagining things as there is indeed a new wine in the range in the form of the Goutte d'Or. In yet one more change several Meursault villages wines that were separately declared in previous years have now been combined - see below for more detail. (Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant www.kermitlynch.com CA USA; A&B Vintners www.abvintners.co.uk Berry Brothers & Rudd www.bbr.com Fields Morris & Verdin www.fmvwines.com Emile Wines Ltd. www.emilewines.couk The Wine Society www.thewinesociety.com all UK; Pearl of Burgundy www.pearlofburgundy.com Hong Kong and Macau; Domaine Wine Cellars www.domaine.com.tw Taiwan). Tasting note: A very Meursault nose of white fleshed fruit acacia blossom hazelnut and a whiff of citrus character introduces rich and seductively textured medium weight flavors that flash a lovely minerality that adds a sense of lift to the bitter lemon-tined finale. This is also an excellent villages and worth considering.

Vinous: 90-92 Points

The 2022 Meursault Village a blend of Jobard's lieux-dits which has been the case for three vintages now has a classic n
