Based on the 2020 vintage, and incorporating some 5% still red wine, Renoir's debut NV Extra-Brut Rosé d'Assemblage Les 2 Terroirs bursts with notes of orange zest, cherries and plums. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and vinous, it's a layered, lively, sapid wine that makes a fine complement to the existing range. William Kelley
The NV Rosé Les 2 Terroirs (2020 base) is a rich, heady wine. It offers notable textural richness and volume, with terrific freshness to pull it all together. Like all the 2020s here, the Rosé is a bit vegetal, but that intensely mineral/savory quality is also a signature of Verzy, so it works pretty well here. Although a bit quirky, the Rosé is also striking. Hints of cranberry, marzipan, white pepper, orange peel and rosewater linger. The blend is mostly Verzy fruit with a touch of Bouzy. Disgorged: January, 2022. (Drink between 2023-2030)
